He is Chairman of the Board and founding partner of Optimisa S.A. one of the largest Chilean systems integration companies, with 23 years of experience in banking and government projects.
He is Board member and First Vice-chairman of the Chilean Association of IT Companies (ACTI), and a member of the Chilean National Innovation Council for Productivity, an advisory council for the President of Chile.
Optimisa was invited by KRA (Kenya Revenue Authority) to implement Phase 1 of ITMS (Integrated Tax Management System) and he has been involved in the direction of this project.
He has participated as a keynote speaker in conferences and panel discussions in Chile, organized by universities, by the government, and by the private sector.
He has a Mathematical Engineering degree from the Universidad de Chile and a PhD degree (Computer Science) from the University of Waterloo, Canada.
At the beginning of his professional career he was part of the group of professors that founded the Computer Science Department at the Universidad de Chile, the first academic department created in Chile on this subject.
