Arlindo D. Mondlane, mozambican, is graduated in Electronic engineering by Eduardo Mondlane University. He has been working in Telecom industry for 9 years. He first joined Teledata de Moçambique (one of the pioneers as internet service provider in Mozambique), where he got his first contact with telecom business. One year later, he moved on to Mcel – Moçambique Celular in 2000. He entered as Base Station Controller and Transcorder (BSC/TC) Technician. Two years later he was certified by Alcatel as BSC/TC installer and commissioning as a result of work experience and several trainings he benefited from Alcatel in BSS environment. In 2004 he moved from BSS to NSS where he worked as Switching and VAS (Value added services) manager.
In 2005 he was appointed as Network Operations where his role was to look for all O&M, network configurations aspects and NSS planning. Along his carrier he benefitted with several trainings in several areas such as GSM 2.5/2.75 training technology, management training, strategic O&M training and Mini – MBA in Telecom Management. In the same year, he was part of project Management team for GPRS/EDGE deployment in mcel, where his responsibility was to look after technical implementation of both core and access network. From April 2007 to date he is working as Information Technology Systems and Billing Director.
