Johan is an Electronic engineer and entrepreneur with vast international experience in ICT including Contact Centre Systems and services.
After graduation at the University of Pretoria in 1978, he lectured in the faculty of engineering. In the period from 1983 he was Director of Mitra who designed manufactured and implemented Industrial equipment. In the late 1980’s he gained international experience by working in several countries on large electronic systems.
He was a systems engineer at IBM in Cape Town from 1994 and in 1996 he founded C.a.T.S Pty Ltd in South Africa. C.a.T.S has customers in countries like Tanzania, DRC, Nigeria, Egypt, Lesotho, Cameroon, Central Africa and South Africa. These customers have large ICT solutions including contact centers providing customer service and self help using IVR solutions. Johan experienced the convergence from independent voice and data channels to the convergence to multi protocol networks.
