Pauline Vaughan

Pauline joined Safaricom in 2001 to assist with the network roll-out. She became Project Manager for the CEO, and then Head of Products & Services, coordinating launch of a variety of new services such as GPRS, Pre-Pay Roaming, Safaricom VOIP, Flashback-130 and Missed Call Notification. Following the successful pilot of M-PESA in Kenya with Vodafone, Pauline assumed responsibility for the M-PESA deployment at Safaricom in September 2006. She is Kenyan born and graduated with a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Cape Town in 1991.
