Sanjeeva Shukla heads global operations of BPO Certification Institute, Inc.(www.bpocertifications.com). He has been associated with BCI since its inception and is a leading global thinker and researcher on issues related to business process and human performance excellence in the BPO space. His contributions to BCI’s knowledge bodies on standards and credentialing in business process outsourcing are seminal and among his many path?breaking accomplishments, the development of pan?domain standards for the BPO industry stands foremost. Sanjeeva has also masterminded the development and evolution of BCI’s credentialing system network that stretches across 30 countries and has capabilities to offer services in almost 300 global locations.
An alumnus of the prestigious Benares Hindu University in India, Sanjeeva holds Master's degree in Condensed Matter Physics and MBA in International Business from the Faculty of Management Studies.
He has more than 17 years of professional management experience behind him and has led in functions as diverse as business research, process modeling and strategic planning in the past.
In addition to having strong competencies in strategic process modeling, human competence research, service delivery quality, and organizational efficiency management, Sanjeeva has sharp instincts for marketing and communication design and has worked across BPO, information technology, consumer products, automobile, business consulting and education domains. He has led several full cycle standards implementation and process restructuring projects. Some of Sanjeeva's favorite work areas in global outsourcing industry today include Service Delivery Performance improvement, quality standards development, human competence mapping and credentialing systems development.
Starting out with the Tata group in 1992 as a management trainee, Sanjeeva went on to work for Gillette and Lotus in their business strategy and international marketing functions before turning his career attention to the global outsourcing industry. An extremely powerful speaker, Sanjeeva talks incisively and passionately about industry evolution mechanics and growth issues in emerging economies. He has also taught Strategy as adjunct professor in several leading business schools. He has chaired sessions and spoken in several international seminars and conferences, the latest being the Asia?Pacific BPO Conference in Wuxi, China in September 2009.
A voracious reader and an avid writer, Sanjeeva is currently studying for his Ph.D. He has written books on Organization Communication and Cluster Modeling for Mid?sized Businesses and his recent book on Competitive Excellence Architecture for BPO organizations should hit the marquee by late 2010. Sanjeeva is leading BCI's research and knowledge initiatives in critical areas like industry competitiveness and standards architecture development for nations; as well as efficiency, quality and human competence frameworks development for BPO companies.
A keen footballer and a champion table tennis player during his school and university days, Sanjeeva loves to sing Indian songs or play the Spanish Guitar, Flute and Keyboards in his free time. He is currently based out of New Delhi, and is married to Urvashi, a teacher?turned?homemaker – with a toddler son and a school?age daughter, who always beats daddy in Scrabble!
