Selorm is of Ghanaian origin and currently works in Boston, USA, as a Management Consultant for L.E.K. Consulting, a global strategy consulting firm that provides Strategy, Private Equity and Mergers and Acquisitions Advisory services to Fortune 500 businesses.  

 

Prior to his current role, Selorm spent several years (2001 to 2005) working in the UK as a Technology Consultant for Hewlett-Packard Ltd. and in this role he designed several Data  and Telecommunications systems, including Outsourcing and Call Centre solutions, for businesses such as Hutchison 3G, Vodafone, Mondial etc. Selorm was also responsible for designing the data communications solution for EasyInternet Café, the world’s largest internet café chain. In 2006, Selorm joined Avaya, a global Call Centre and Enterprise Telephony business, and helped with the development of its emerging markets strategy. Selorm now hopes to bring his unique blend of technology and business skills home to support Africa’s growth.    

 

Outside of his professional successes, Selorm has exemplified himself as a high achiever since his childhood. As a teenager Selorm won the Gold medal in the 27th World Children’s Art Exhibition in Seoul, South Korea. He was also consistently at the top of his class throughout high-school and university and graduated in 1998 with a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. Selorm then moved to the U.K. and while there, he achieved a rare feat by attaining the highest level in both the Microsoft and Cisco Certification programs. Selorm moved to Philadelphia, USA in 2005 to get an MBA in Finance and Strategic Management from The Wharton School, the world’s premier business school. At Wharton, Selorm was the President of the Wharton African Students Association and in his final semester was awarded the Phillip J. Whitcome Fellowship for his consistent academic excellence, exceptional character and leadership accomplishments.
