Shaun Campbell

Director of Business Development, mCommerce, sub-Saharan Africa, Sybase 365
Following a technical services career with J.Sainsbury and ICL/Fujitsu in Retail EPOS,  Shaun established the global services group for ICL/Fujitsu’s Telecoms revenue management software unit. After 13 years with ICL, Shaun joined Convergys in 2000 as an Account Director and Territory Manager for Africa. In 2002 Shaun co-founded a business in Africa to provide national clearing house facilities for inter-operator billing and settlement, predominantly in East (Kenya) and West (Nigeria) Africa.
Leveraging his experience of providing services between banks and network operators in Africa, Shaun joined Upaid in July 2007 to develop Africa and other emerging markets for m-commerce and “Bank The Unbanked” solutions. In July 2008 he moved to Sybase 365 as the sub-Saharan Africa Director to further develop this market.
Shaun is a Chartered Marketer and holds a Post-Graduate degree in Marketing with The Chartered Institute of Marketing and an HNC in Business and Finance.
