Mr. Steven Chege
Group Chief Information Officer
Steven Chege heads the Technology Infrastructure Consulting Practice at SST and is also the Group Chief Information Officer. His charter includes strategy development, implementation and management of SST’s Technology Infrastructure Consulting capabilities.
His mission is to develop the Technology Infrastructure Consulting business to enable SST achieve its business and operational excellence goals and build on its reputation of provision of service excellence. Prior to this role, Steven was a technology consultant and solutions architect within the services organization at Hewlett-Packard (HP), where he developed and implemented cutting edge technology solutions for leading enterprises in North America.
Steven is committed to establishing SST as the leading technology solutions provider in Africa while managing the following divisions; the Service Management Center that offers Managed Services solutions, the Datacenter Infrastructure division that provides datacenter products and services including various Green Datacenter solutions , Information Assurance that provides security and security audit solutions , Enterprise Networks & Unified Communications that provide advanced communications and networking solutions, Advanced Applications Infrastructure that offers advanced collaboration, open-source and database solutions and Intelligent Real-estate.
With more than 13 years of consulting, systems integration, ICT experience with and for various global organizations, Steven is an active thought leader in the areas of technology infrastructure, business and IT strategy, technology solutions and technology governance to support clients with their evolution in the ICT space.
Born in Nairobi, Steven holds a bachelors degree in Management Information Systems from United Stated International University and a Masters Degree in Information Systems from Hawaii Pacific University.
